Ακολουθούν απόψεις των συμμετεχόντων της πρωτοβουλίας νέων στα Αγγλικά.

As the first YiA project where I participated, it inspired me to join international projects also in the future. We visited many schools and two child and youth care centers – it was amazing to see complete strangers sharing their life stories and getting friendly in a very short period of time. We made many young people to learn about their opportunities. While sharing information, I also got higher knowledge about Youth in Action Programme and international projects. This experience gave me understanding about how projects work in practice. During this project I also learned about how life in another country is, how to work in group and how to manage things.  (Ilze Zaime, Latvia)

It was my first project where I participate, also my first time in Greece. In this week I learned a lot of new stuff, like culture of Greece, situation in child and youth care centers and so on. I really liked that we showed young people how they can take a part in international projects, how they can create their own projects. I really hope I will participate in similar projects in the future. (Davis Lapins, Latvia)

This project was a very nice experience, because I expected mainly to organize everything but in the end I understood that I learned very much during this project.  I learned about the problems in child and youth care centers and it is something to think about and to do some action – I was surprised to see that kids living there are inspired and motivated to participate in YiA project and to do something for development of their local area. Plus, during this week I met amazing people – participants of the project and also people from care centers, I’m waiting to meet them all again. Tomas Tsikos Cermeli, Greece.

This project was amazing! This project helped me to learn about Greek culture, to practice my English, to learn about Greek people and other people who live as refugees in Greek care centers and I got many other experiences. I feel like I showed an example to people who did not know before about projects supported from European Union, Youth in Action Programme. Our team worked together very well and we became good friends. (Anna Dobele, Latvia)

This was not my first YiA project that I organize and participate in, but I guess this was one of the best projects ever! I got new friends, new inspirations, new ideas for the future  and generally I’m happy about the success of the project. We worked very well as a group and we fulfilled all aims of the project, even much, much more! Many unforgettable people, one great week, amazing thoughts and contributions – well done! (Dace Zaime, Greece)

This was my first project, so everything was a new experience for me. I saw Greece as a tourist, also I saw many problems in Greece and it was interesting for me to compare Greece with my country – Latvia. I think that we – participants of this project – gave youth of child care centers some hours of fun, new impressions and information about how they can participate in projects like this one; also we distributed flyers to so many Greek students. I did not know that these kind of projects are so interesting and after this one, I would love to participate in new projects. This project also gave me some ideas how to help youngsters of child care centers. (Inese Gutmane, Latvia)

I enjoyed all things we did, but the best I enjoyed that I met new people, which were friendly and interesting. It was nice for me to show my culture and my country to people from Latvia, because they did not know many things about Greece. After this initiative project, I’m sure I will participate in other YiA projects. (Thodoris Foukis, Greece)

For me this week was a very great adventure – I got many new impressions about Greek culture, I improved my skills to communicate with people from other countries, we told Greek teenagers about their opportunities within Youth in Action Programme and we told them about our experiences. During activities of the project I found many like-minded people and heard some unbelievable life stories that I will never forget. This project gave me many ideas which I would like to fulfill in the future. (Reinis Pavils, Latvia)

I had great time with participants of the project; I got new friends, new emotions and inspirations. I believe we did useful things for future of many Greek youngsters. It was interesting for me to show my country to foreign people, to explain them our life here and also to learn about their country. This was not my first international project, but after this one I’m sure I want to continue being involved with international projects, because it’s a great experience. (Evgenia Dosiou, Greece)
