Training course "Take the Lead" farm Buona Terra, Italy

The "Take the Lead" project, which took place in Italy from 19 to 26 April 2022, is a training course for young people who want to improve their skills for their future participation as team leaders in youth mobility projects.

It was held by the Kora organisation at Buona Terra Farm, in the spectacular natural landscape of Passignano Sul Trasimeno. The Youth Center of Epirus, participated with the Greek team, together with 9 other organizations from Italy, Portugal, Finland, Latvia, Latvia, Serbia, France, Romania and Spain.

Through already organized activities and some activities that we have shaped and shared ourselves in the course of the project, such as introductory activities, ice breakers, energizers, but also activities to familiarize ourselves with non-formal learning tools and the key competences of Youthpass, we improved our knowledge and skills in active participation in groups. In addition, more targeted activities such as team building and project plan design (part of which were basics in project writing) helped us to further develop our skills in taking initiatives, mentoring and training young people as team leaders.

As in every Erasmus+ project, one of the most important experiences we gained was the contact with other people and by extension cultures, building relationships, sharing knowledge and ideas and being intercultural.
