The Social Inclusion Models in Youth Work, or SIMs, is an Erasmus+ KA220 - Cooperation Partnership project, a cooperation between 5 organisations: Euro FRC (Poland, coordinator), Mojo de Cana (Spain), EuroDemos Youth Mobility APS(Italy), EuroDemos (Romania), and YC EPIRUS (Greece).
Objectives of the project are the following: to empower youth workers methodologies and innovation in social inclusion sector, to broaden knowledge about social inclusion and youth work in Europe through best practices, to discuss and debate about equality and equity in the future of Europe, to empower youth work by the application of the European Pillar of Social Rights, to design a space for youth work where to express and have open dialogue about social inclusion and what threatens it, and to generally boost social inclusion of young people. The project also contributes to the 3 Erasmus+ programme priorities: Promotion of active citizenship, young people’s sense of initiative and youth entrepreneurship including social entrepreneurship; Inclusion and diversity in all fields of education, training, youth and sport; and Increasing quality, innovation and recognition of youth work.
The project started in March 2025 and will last for 3 years, until February 2028, during which time there will be various activities carried out in local and international levels. Main activities are going to be: creation of an interactive SIM roadmap - a platform that collects entities and projects of social inclusion, creation of the YW SINC Incubator - a series of podcasts, interviews, research, and best practices of social inclusion, creation of CV on Inclusive YW - competence models for youth workers in various areas of social inclusion, international mobilities - job shadowings, SIM Bootcamp (mobility with workshops), and LLTA - a training activity, and finally - local/regional forums for stakeholders and youth workers.

On 21st and 22nd of May 2025, representatives of all partner organisations of the SIMs project met in Reggio Calabria, Italy. The representatives discussed various details of the project, and set a tone for the beginning of the collaboration. Detailed plan of the project calendar was decided upon, as well as partners spent some time to get to know each other and explored each others' areas of expertise within the project scope.
