Training course "Democracy & Youth Participation: Values & Action" Lozen, Bulgaria

The training course took place in Lozen, Bulgaria, from 7 to 11 November 2022. Four countries (Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey and Georgia) participated in this programme.

The main objective of the training was to increase young people's understanding of the content and values of democracy and their active participation. This was achieved through:

• Discussion about democracy, its role in today's world.
• Simulating democratic processes.
• Learning methods and tools to help young people become more active.

In addition to the above objectives, the training offered us much more. In just a few days we managed to meet many different people, to hear different views on democracy and its different manifestations in each country, to get in touch with different cultures. Of course, it was an opportunity to see how much we have in common and to laugh, dance and exchange views on everything that concerns us as young people. The Greek team was there more active than ever to bring to the other participants the Greek mindset and perspective on the important issue of democracy. It was a very interesting program, very organized, with smart activities and memorable people. Words are unnecessary, what is valuable are actions!
